  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (6 ounces each)

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  • Drizzle olive oil over your salmon fillets and sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over each piece.

Cooking

  • Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  • Carefully place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet.
  • Cook for about 4-5 minutes until a blackened crust forms, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through.

Serving

  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon before serving.
  • Pair with a side salad or roasted veggies.

Notes

Use a cast-iron skillet for the best results. Leftovers can be added to salads or sandwiches.
