Ingredients

For the Baked Brie

  • 1 wheel Brie cheese
  • 1 ripe pear ripe pear, sliced
  • 1 baguette baguette or your choice of bread, sliced into thin rounds
  • to taste Olive oil
  • to taste Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
  • to taste Honey (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Arrange your baguette slices on a baking sheet. Drizzle a bit of olive oil over them and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, until they are lightly golden.
  • While the crostini is toasting, place the Brie on a separate baking dish. Top it with pear slices, a drizzle of honey, and any fresh herbs if desired.
  • Bake the Brie for about 10-15 minutes, until it’s gooey and warmed through.
  • Once both the crostini and Brie are ready, plate them up. Serve the baked Brie with the toasted slices, allowing everyone to top their crostini with the rich cheese and sweet pears.

Notes

For an herb twist, consider adding fresh thyme or rosemary. A drizzle of honey or brown sugar before baking can create a fantastic sweet crust. If short on time, the crostini can be served fresh instead of toasted.
