Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined, then fold in the shredded coconut, chocolate chips, and slivered almonds.

Baking

  • Using a tablespoon, scoop out the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are slightly golden.
  • Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
