  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts Pat dry before use
  • 24 ounces jar of marinara sauce Use your favorite brand
  • 1 packet Italian seasoning mix Crushed red pepper flakes optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
  • Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • Pour the marinara sauce over the chicken, ensuring it’s fully covered.
  • Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning. Optionally, add crushed red pepper flakes for heat.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.

Serving

  • After cooking, shred the chicken in the sauce and serve over pasta, in a sub, or with veggies.

Notes

Taste and adjust seasoning before serving. If using frozen chicken, add an hour to cooking time. Add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms to customize.
