Representing Worcestershire Rapids, Pakistani leg-spinner Usama Mir put in an exceptional performance on his debut. The talismanic player produced an all-round display to lead his team to a 15-run victory.
With the ball, Mir stunned the opposition, picking up three crucial wickets for just 21 runs. His remarkable bowling skills led to the dismissal of Ricardo Vasconcelos, Saif Zaib and Rob Keogh.
Usama’s brilliance was not limited to his bowling skills as he proved to be equally impressive with the bat. In a quickfire innings, he scored 20 runs off just 7 deliveries, smashing two sixes and one boundary each.
The leg-spinner is now eagerly preparing for his upcoming match with Worcestershire Rapids where they will face Yorkshire Vikings under the captaincy of Shan Masood on May 26.
His time with the team will end with the final game against Leicestershire on May 29.
