The West is working to ensure that Ukraine has a strong military, a strong economy and becomes a democratic example for the world, and will support the country in the long term.
US Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland said this on Thursday, May 25, at the Kyiv Security Forum, Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Ukraine will need a world-class deterrent in the long term, and we’ve said we’ll be with you for the long term,” he said. “So we’re now starting to plan what that military should look like.”
