Update: Tangla lost 96 pounds

What is your current weight? 152.5 pounds

How did you keep losing weight?
Losing weight is not as difficult as keeping it off. I had to reevaluate my relationship with food and understand the difference between hunger and boredom when it came to consuming food.

I find success with early morning workouts because it starts my rest day off in the right direction. Due to my schedule, evening workouts are not always possible. My Peloton has become my BFF. I love my bike, but the platform also offers various classes that I participate in.

What are some of the lessons you’ve learned on your journey that stand out the most right now?
I have learned how to grace myself. There will be days when the scale doesn’t budge and days where I may not be eating my best or exercising. But I am human and am allowed to be reformable on this journey.

Would you like to give new or different advice to women who want to lose weight?
First, don’t compare your journey to someone else’s. We are all authors of our own stories that are uniquely special. Commit to a lifestyle change, not just a quick fix, if you’re looking for long-term success.

I have had great success logging my weight loss process with an online app. Penzu. I write it all down… the good, the bad and the ugly. It’s so refreshing when the app provides yearly updates and I can see my physical and mental growth.

Also, I track my weight with the Happy Scale. It shows my weight loss trends. Weekly weigh-ins keep me accountable and understand the nuances that affect my progress.

It’s always good to have accountability partners to motivate and encourage you, but make sure they don’t allow bad behavior or excuses to be made. Always remember that this journey is a marathon, not a sprint, and be kind to your body.
