KYIV. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday (May 23rd) that he visited marines on the eastern front to thank them for their role in resisting the Russian invasion.
In a video posted on social media, Zelenskyi, wearing a military khaki shirt and khaki pants, is seen presenting awards to dozens of men and women in combat dress on the occasion of the National Day of Ukrainian Marines.
“Happy sailors’ day, especially to such strong people who are located in one of the hottest, but also the strongest… sections, in the Vuhledar-Marinka direction,” said Zelensky.
