About a week ago, the Minnesota Vikings announced that they had set their schedule for two home preseason games in August. Now, Tuesday afternoon, the Vikings announced they have officially completed the 2023 preseason schedule Setting the date and time for their road game against the Seattle Seahawks.

That game, Minnesota’s preseason opener, is Thursday, August 10th at 9:00 PM CST. With that, the Vikings preseason schedule officially looks like this.
- Week 1: Thursday, August 10 at Seattle Seahawks, 9:00 PM CST
- Week 2: Saturday, August 19 vs. Tennessee Titans at 7:00 PM CST
- Week 3: Saturday, August 26 vs. Arizona Cardinals at 12pm CST
The Seahawks were one of the biggest surprises of the 2022 season after trading for QB Russell Wilson. Led by Geno Smith, Seattle finished its regular season 9-8, earning a Wild Card berth and the No. 7 times in the playoffs.
Smith threw for 4,282 yards, 30 TDs and 11 INTs en route to earning Comeback Player of the Year honors for his impressive season and first as a primary starter since 2014 with the New York Jets.

Unfortunately for Seattle, their playoff run ended as quickly as it began with a win over the #1 seed. 2 ranked San Francisco 49ers 41-23. Now, the Vikings will be the first team to see if Seattle’s unpredictable success in 2022 continues into 2023.
The Vikings began their OTAs this week, with the second of nine practices on Tuesday. With that milestone reached, we’re getting closer and closer to training camp officially starting in July, and then we’ll see the 2023 Vikings take the field for their first exhibition game.
We’re getting close to football season, folks.
