Last weekend’s recruiting race had two distinct themes. quarterbacks and running backs were in high demand. Five programs added QB prospects from the class of 2024, while three schools landed commitments from blue-chip defensive line recruits.
Here are the defensive linemen, where they played in high school and where they plan to compete at the next level.

Sims (6-foot-3, 275 pounds) is ranked No. 1. 1 overall in the state of Oklahoma by 247Sports and the No. 22 in his position. Sims also had offers from 21 other schools, including Michigan State and TCU.
The Ducks also scored the biggest prize of the weekend, recruiting four-star quarterback Michael Van Buren. Their 14-man class of 2024 now ranks outside the top five nationally.

Beavers (6-foot-3, 305 pounds) is ranked fourth in Mississippi and the No. 17 among DL in his class by composite ratings. Eleven other schools held offers, including Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, LSU and Texas.
That makes eight recruits for the Rebels’ 2024 class, which is ranked No. 4. in 24 countries.

Beaman (6-foot-4, 265 pounds) ranks highest in this group, taking the no. Ranked 11th in the composite rankings. 247Sports has him ranked No. 72 nationally in 24 classes. He had 22 other offers, including other top contenders Auburn, Georgia and Clemson.
Alabama has received a significant boost in recruiting rankings since landing Beeman, moving up to no. 16 nationally.
