Rose Sangria with apples and berries

Perfect for entertaining and the summer days ahead, this rosé sangria takes the best parts of traditional Spanish sangria with a summery, light twist.

WHAT’S UP?

It was a pretty productive weekend. In addition to the usual (laundry, meal planning, lunches, etc.), I put together a closet, bedside table, and desk for Shay. We (finally) got rid of her nursing chair/rocks (I know, time), the old dresser that was falling apart, and the old bookcase that we didn’t really have a purpose for now that she mostly reads chapter books. from the library. My big girl’s room got a little makeover. My fingers hurt and my back hurts from all the lifting and hard work.

On top of all that, I’m looking forward to Memorial Day weekend next weekend. It’s kind of crazy that it’s on us. Official launch in the summer and man am I ready for it! Beach, boat ride, pool and sunshine…let’s go! Also, this is the start of our busy time of year in terms of hosting guests. We love it, and this rose sangria recipe is perfect for pre-party entertaining.

  • Apple: I think apples are my favorite fruit in sangria, and the same goes for this easy pink sangria recipe. The crisp apples soak up the wine and vodka while retaining their crunch. Feel free to omit or swap out the orange or lemon wedges to add more variety of fresh fruit or add a little extra tartness. It all comes down to personal preference

  • 1 (750 ml) bottle of rosé wine

  • ½ cup (4 oz) vodka

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons of honey

  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced

  • 1 apple cored and sliced

  • 6 fresh spring mints

  • 2 cups of soda
