.In the most hotly contested game of 2022, the Cowboys beat the Tigers with a Val Holmes penalty after a series of controversial decisions after the full-time buzzer.
The Tigers were so angry with the umpires and the bunker that they lodged a formal complaint with the NRL and even threatened legal action.
The NRL launched an investigation into the matter and found that the Tigers were in fact “douche” but refused to change the outcome of the game.
Last night was the first time the teams have met since then, and the Tigers finally got a chance to put their frustrations to rest.
“It was mentioned during the week,” a Tigers source told WWOS.
“We felt we owed it to them, but never in our wildest dreams did we expect to do it this way.
“It was a great result for the club and a night we will never forget.”
