New video reveals Tucker Carlson’s rude remarks about Dominion attorney | fox news

Tucker Carlson called a Dominion Voting Systems lawyer a “slimy mother” who “forced” him into a lengthy deposition last August.

The now-fired Fox News anchor made the comments in new footage released Wednesday by Media Matters for America, a left-wing media watchdog critical of Fox News, which has released a series of similar videos.

Carlson made the comments on set wearing the same clothes he wore on his Aug. 26, 2022 show when he was fired in the Dominion case, Media Matters said.

“Holy crap, 10 hours,” Carlson says in the video. “That slimy little mother is sitting in front of me. The amount, it was so unhealthy… the hatred I felt for that guy.”

Carlson adds: “It’s totally bad for you to feel that way. But that guy pissed me off. ‘Where are you now? Where do you live?’ The number of times I’d had “First of all, cheat on you” on my lips was unbelievable. Suggesting that it’s me, that I’m cheating on my taxes.”

A spokesman for Dominion declined to comment.

Last month, Fox News and a voting machine company reached a $787.5 million settlement in a defamation lawsuit related to Donald Trump’s broadcast of lies about voter fraud in the 2020 election.

As part of the case, Carlson’s text messages were released in which he criticized the network, discussed his hatred of Trump and used offensive language to describe one of Trump’s allies, Sidney Powell.

Carlson’s show on Fox was abruptly canceled last week. The reason remains unclear, with various justifications publicly given.

One theory is that it is connected to the Dominion settlement, which Dominion and Fox deny. Last week, a Fox spokesperson described the idea as “absolutely false.”

In his deposition, Carlson was reportedly asked about his use of the word “colt” to describe Powell in the text.

When asked if it was the only time he used that word, according to the Daily Beast, he replied: I mean, you’re trying to embarrass me, you’re definitely succeeding, just like I’m embarrassed.”

The Beast said the exchange was a factor in Carlson’s termination.

Late Tuesday, the New York Times released a court-sealed text message saying the paper harassed Fox’s board on the eve of a scheduled trial in the Dominion case.

In a message sent the day after the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, Carlson described watching “a bunch of Trump guys … a live chicken” over an “Antifa kid,” or counter-protester.

Carlson added. “It’s obviously dishonorable to jump on a guy like that. That’s not how white men fight. Yet suddenly I found myself rooting for the mob against the man, hoping they’d hit him harder and kill him.

“I really wanted them to hurt the kid. I could taste it. Then an alarm sounded somewhere deep in my brain. this is not good for me. I’m becoming something I don’t want to be.”
