This means we need to know what parts of our software you couldn’t live without and what new features are at the top of your wish list.
Based on your feedback, we continuously develop our products to better suit the way you do business. We also make them stronger, safer and easier to use.
Over the past few months, we’ve been working on several new features and experience improvements that are now available to all Sage Business Cloud customers.
In this article, we explore what they are for Sage Business Cloud Accounting and Sage Business Cloud Payroll.
We cover.
Helps you overcome uncertainty
Dealing with financial uncertainty is a challenge most businesses face, and something they want their accounting and payroll solutions to support and mitigate against.
No matter how the economy is doing, flexibility and growth are still priorities, and you need business solutions to help you achieve both.
This has been the main driver behind the updates and improvements we’ve made over the past few months.
Combining your feedback with the latest advances in technology, Sage Business Cloud now gives you more visibility into your finances.
It’s easier to track every pound, which means you can make more confident decisions and keep your business moving forward.
Updates to Sage Business Cloud Accounting
1. Buy automation
To help you digitize and automate low-cost, high-impact tasks, Sage Business Cloud Accounting now includes procurement automation.
This automatically takes data from your purchase invoices and receipt images and creates a digital record of them. This helps you keep track of expenses and gives you a true picture of cash flow.
Check out this article to learn more.
2. Performance and Security Improvements
The overall experience of using Sage Business Cloud Accounting is only possible thanks to performance and security improvements.
This includes making the core Sage Business Cloud Accounting platform more robust and scalable in key areas.
This gives you an improved experience using the software, strengthens the areas you use the most, and eliminates the possibility of minor incidents in the future.
You can now also use Multi Factor Authentication, which brings an extra level of security to your account.
This adds a step to the login experience by sending an SMS to your mobile device, meaning you can be sure your data is still safe if your password is compromised.
3. Feature and Experience Improvements
The following features and product experiences make Sage Business Cloud Accounting even more powerful and easy to use:
From the net gross count
When you enter transactions with a known gross value, the net value will now be automatically calculated. So you don’t need to calculate or manipulate any values yourself.
To learn more, check out the net from aggregate help article.
Recurring invoices
Recurring invoicing is a very popular feature that massively reduces data entry. You can now sort, search and filter the list of recurring invoices.
This allows you to quickly manage recurring invoices and save time manually going through tabs and lists.
Error and corrections
You can now make changes and corrections to “cleared” and “reconciled” transactions. This gives you the flexibility to get your numbers right without doing complicated workarounds.
The Bank Corrections Help section covers this in more detail.
Inactive contacts
As one of the most requested features, you can now select which customer accounts are inactive and they will no longer appear in the dropdown or banking area.
This gives you a clearer view of your accounts, saves you time on admin tasks and reduces errors such as invoicing the wrong customer or purchasing from the wrong supplier.
Learn more about it in the inactive contacts help section.
banking improvements
General improvements now make bank feeds work better, faster and more consistently.
We also provide more important support for any errors or bugs you encounter.
