In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Eliminator match, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will take on Mumbai Indians (MI) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai tomorrow i.e. Wednesday, May 24 at 7:30 PM IST.
The Lucknow team had a remarkable season this time as they qualified for the playoffs for the second time in a row. The team seemed to be at their best at the beginning of the season, but showed weakness in the second half. However, they won their last two games to secure a playoff spot. Both wins were hardly convincing, but they were enough for LSJ to qualify. However, now that they face MI, the team will look to be optimistic and win decisively to reach Ahmedabad. They have a formidable record of three wins in three matches against the five-time IPL champions, which will certainly encourage them. Rohit Sharma is back to form and fans are hoping that he will play for the rest of the tournament. Ishan Kishan is also hitting the ball brilliantly while Suryakumar Yadav’s form needs no reminding. Cameron Green and Tim David are also making important runs at the end of the innings and with the ball Piyush Chawla and Akash Madwal are giving them a run for their money.

The two teams have met thrice so far, with the Krunal Pandya-led side emerging victorious on all three occasions. In their previous match played a few days back in Lucknow, LSG had won by five runs.
