What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going even when you felt like giving up?
My motivation is me and my health, especially my identity in terms of being a person committed to their goals.
How have you changed your eating habits?
I started by limiting my calories to 1500-1700 per day with 140 grams of protein per day. I didn’t completely cut out any foods, but I did limit my carb and alcohol intake and didn’t have “cheat” meals.
What is your workout routine?
I do strength training/HIIT classes five days a week and incline walking twice a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 207.2 pounds and my current weight is 187 pounds. My goal weight is 160 lbs.

I’m 5’1”.

My journey began on February 1, 2023.

no
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I’ve learned to have patience, including accepting weight fluctuations. I also learned that you have to measure/weigh your food.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Consistency is important, but having the mindset that you will need to do the things you don’t want to do until they become a habit. Also, never give up on yourself.
