The Estonian Bolt e-taxi company has opened a driver recruitment center in Nairobi. This is a first-of-its-kind facility in the city to address the concerns raised by fellow drivers who did not have a physical office to report their challenges. It is not to be confused with its regional hub in Nairobi, which opened in mid-2022 as a base for high-level executives overseeing operations on the continent.
Bolt aims to improve its relationship with drivers and effectively address their complaints and suggestions through this office. In the past, questions were addressed via email with teams outside of Kenya.
Bolt Driver Engagement Center
The Driver Engagement Center is based at Westlands and will be available by appointment to ensure the smooth and efficient management of driver issues.
Launching an Engagement Center enhances the delivery of a number of benefits, including improved driver support, effective communication channels, training opportunities, community building, problem solving, driver appreciation and positive branding.
“Bolt is committed to ensuring that the needs of our driver partners are addressed and addressed in an efficient and timely manner. The launch of this center demonstrates our strong commitment to enhancing the well-being and engagement of our drivers, which will ultimately contribute to the success and growth of our business and the commercial-hail industry. We will continue to work with all our key stakeholders to continue to offer affordable, safe and convenient transportation services in Kenya; and creating entrepreneurial opportunities that will enable more people to earn sustainable livelihoods.” said Linda Ndungu, Country Manager, Rides.
In 2022, Bolt launched its regional hub in Nairobi, which enables the business to conduct its operations in the region in a more integrated and consolidated manner. The regional hub hosts the company’s senior management, which oversees operations in Africa, including; Regional Director for Africa & Middle East Tours, Regional Marketing Manager for Africa, Senior Head of Public Policy for Africa and Legal Director for Africa.
Bolt continues to continuously work on the complete driver experience and provide the support they need to be successful in their business. The company remains committed to listening, analyzing and innovating its services for the benefit of its drivers and passengers.
