Some pick-your-own farms start opening in late spring for rhubarb and asparagus picking, while others open in early June for strawberry picking season. By late June, more crops are coming into fruition, including raspberries, cherries, green beans, apples, and more. We enjoy returning in late summer to pick sunflowers and sweet corn, and it’s an annual tradition to visit the pumpkin patch in the fall.

Garsons Farm
Open from June to October, Garsons Farm in Esher, Surrey has one of the best pick-your-own fruit and veg farms near London. It is also one of the largest in the UK, with 150 acres of 28 fruit, vegetable and flower crops. Garsons Esher PYO Farm will open in early June 2023.

Farm Pass: Book a Farm Pass and select a time slot in advance at https://www.garsons.co.uk/pyo-farm. Each individual, including children and infants, must have a Farm Pass, which normally costs £4 per adult and £1 per child. The value of the Farm Pass(es) will be deducted from your PYO purchases on exit from the farm.

Crockford Bridge Farm
Crockford Bridge Farm in Addlestone, Surrey is another popular PYO farm in Surrey for strawberry picking from early June. The PYO farm is one of the earliest to open and is currently open for limited hours to pick rhubarb and asparagus.
This is a great choice for your own farm visit with young children as it is easy to get around and there is a small playground, ice cream stand and bee house at the entrance to the farm.

In October, Crockford Bridge Farm opens for pumpkin picking and also sells a wide variety of pumpkins and squashes at their Pumpkin Market. In October, Cammas Hall Farm has a fantastic selection of pumpkins and squash of all types and sizes. The farm also hosts brilliant pumpkin displays and photo opportunities, as well as a corn maze and other family activities. There is a farm shop, tea barn and barbecue stall on site, as well as a playground.

parkside farm
Located on the outskirts north of Enfield, Parkside Farm covers 50 acres with around 20 different crops. Parkside Farm is one of the best strawberry picking farms near London and will open for the season in June 2023.

Pop-Up Farm
Pop-Up Farm is located in Hertfordshire, 30 miles north of London and close to ZSL Whipsnade Zoo Dunstable. This your-own-farm regularly hosts pop-up farm festivals to pick pumpkins, squash, sweet corn and sunflowers for a fun-filled day of summer and fall family entertainment.
