Arsenal have offered a contract for the electric winger, who will disrupt the plans of West Ham and Aston Villa

Arsenal have tabled a long-term bid for the winger, who has been courted by several Premier League clubs including West Ham and Aston Villa, according to a trusted source.

The Gunners ultimately failed in their bid to win the Premier League title for the first time since 2004. However, it cannot be argued that Milel Arteta’s side have made significant progress this season.

Arsenal also boast the second youngest starting line-up in the Premier League this year on average. Only bottom side Southampton fielded a younger starting line-up during the campaign.

Clearly, the future is bright and Arsenal seem determined to double down on their progress in the blockbuster transfer window.

The likes of Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo are in demand and will cost huge sums. In the other case, a new central boss is being sought to replace the amoral Rob Holding.

However, today’s urgency concerns Arsenal, who have scored a goal for their teams and agreed a new deal for rival Reiss Nelson.

Nelson will become a free agent on June 30 if Arsenal do not agree a new deal for the 23-year-old within the next five weeks.

In that scenario, the Daily Mail previously reported how expensive Premier League clubs including West Ham, Aston Villa, Fulham and Brighton are.

Nelson is also believed to be attracting interest from further afield, notably in Italy and France. However, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal did everything they could to keep Nelson.

The reliable journalist tweeted that Arsenal’s new offer is for fifty-four years and will also contain a clause for five.

It’s clear Arsenal have faith in the winger, despite his lack of concessions this season and the fact he was loaned out to Feyenoord last season.

Romano stated that the decision now “depends on the player”, although Arsenal have certainly tried hard to keep Nelson.

The academy graduate mustered just 560 minutes of action this term and has seen the season blighted by injury.

However, Haas scored three times and provided two assists in the process, including a memorable last-minute winner against Bournemouth on 4 March.

Nelson clearly has all the tools to be a real threat for the Gunners, with injury and Bulayo Salah’s attitude limiting his chances so far.

But with a first return to the Champions League on the horizon since 2017, Milel Arteta needs a reliable force.

Nelson certainly ticks that box and Arsenal are bound to be very generous with their contract offer, not least because of the length preference.
