While picking up her son from the bus stop, Jessica found a small, pink object on the ground. He wasn’t sure of its origin, but assumed it had fallen from a nearby tree branch. Although the object was difficult to identify, he decided to bring it home with him.
Jessica, who is an animal lover, wanted to save the little squirrel-like creature. Although her husband was initially hesitant, he did his best to keep the animal warm while Googling images for help. She then sent her husband food and syringes to take care of the little creature.

It was crucial to keep him alive on his first night. A newborn squirrel required round-the-clock feeding and constant warm lights. Jessica did everything she had to do. The next day, Steve received his name, which means “little warrior”.

Steve accompanied him everywhere like before. He had to bring her back because she was hungry. He went to work with her, did errands with her, even visited friends’ houses. Within a few weeks, Steve began to look like a squirrel.
His personality began to emerge. He was an enthusiastic, funny little boy who loved to run, chew and fight. Jessica made sure she had everything she needed, but like all young people, Steve got into trouble again and again. He had a special penchant for gnawing on books.
